Help Record The Majestic Trees Of Markeaton Park - Sunday 14 April
10.00am onwards.
Join Friends of Markeaton Park as they record the park's trees. There are hundreds of trees in the park including Oak, Ash and Beech trees and many are shown on historic maps. Oaks and Thorns appear on a map from 1914 and some trees marked on earlier maps can still be found in the park. Trees have been planted for special occasions including 60 Hawthorns to represent each school in Derby.
Come along and join in. Easy to complete question sheets and tape measures will be provided and people can work in teams.
