Community Bowls Match Challenge - Wednesday 8 August
Starts at 6.30pm.
This annual event is hosted by the club in partnership with the University. Staff and students join community members to take part in an evening of sporting fun. The event began in 2009 and was repeated in 2010 and again in 2011. It's been a real hit and is now an established annual fixture on the summer calendar!
This friendly competition is open to all, including beginners. Please wear flat shoes if you'd like to play. University sponsored membership is free for the first year.
About the Derby West End Bowls Club
The club, based on Markeaton Street in the heart of Derby's West End, was formed in 1913 and currently has around 50 members. It has wonderful facilities including two greens, a club room and a bar. Membership for new players is free for the first year.
