Sponsorship by employers
Nearly all employer sponsorship for courses is given to current employees. Some public sector training programmes exist where selection to a profession guarantees sponsorship on to a full-time, intensive professional course.
Research and teaching assistants
Postgraduates get paid or have their fees waived in return for teaching or research duties. Posts are advertised online at jobs.ac.uk, in the educational press and specialist journals such as The Guardian, THES, and New Scientist.
