There are a number of types of work for international students to do in the UK whilst you are studying at the University of Derby.
Getting UK work experience related to your degree will help you when it comes to applying for jobs after your degree.
We can help you to find:
- Part time jobs. These are term time jobs to fit around your study or jobs you can do in your vacation and can be directly related to your degree.
- Voluntary work. Unpaid work which gives you good work experience and skills employers want.
- Internships. Can be taken in vacations or after your degree only within your chosen organisation.
- Placements. Can be taken during vacation or the third year of a sandwich course degree, and are usually related to your degree course.
- Work shadowing. Usually last from a few days to two weeks. You 'shadow' an employer in the job, watching what they do.
