Finalist Boot Camp
In response to demand, two Finalists Boot Camps have been created to support your employment needs, on Monday 24th June 2013 and repeated on Wednesday 26th June 2013 at the University of Derby, Kedleston Road.
Morning - quick fix sessions
The morning will be comprised of quick fix sessions, with all you need to know about a range of topics in 15 minutes:
10am - 11.30am
- How to find a graduate job
- Creating graduate CVs
- Identifying and promoting your skills to employers
- Social media and career networking
- How to use temporary, part time, voluntary and work experience to your advantage
- Business start-up
11.30am Break
11.45am - 1.15pm
- Graduate vacancies - what you need to be aware of
- Company research - what you can find out and how you can use the information
- Creating your social media careers profile
- Using the job specification to complete your application form
- Decoding and pre-empting interview questions
- Self employment

Afternoon - individual guidance appointment
The afternoon is a chance for a half hour long individual guidance appointment with a careers adviser.
