Mental Health

People with an Autism/Asperger syndrome can be vulnerable to mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. This can be caused by a range of things.

If you are concerned about your mental health and wellbeing you can talk to us in Student Wellbeing, you can find our contact details here.

You can also look after your mental health by following these tips:

Stay physically healthy. There is a link between physical and mental health, if you take good care of yourself you will feel better. View our exercise tips.

Meet people. Social interaction is an important element in staying mentally healthy. Have a look at some of our clubs and societies.

Organise support and use it. If you have an autistic spectrum disorder you are entitled to support - see our section on how to apply for support.
