Ghost walks
Here’s a really spooky snippet – Derby is officially the most haunted city in the UK, so try the Derby Ghost Walks one night if you dare! A great inspiration for the story behind a budding whodunnit, perhaps? Perfect for authors looking at our BA (Hons) Creative Writing course, or film buffs aiming to be the next Spielberg and enrolling on our BA Film Studies or BA Film and Television Studies courses.
Buxton
As well as nights organised by our Students’ Union, Buxton has plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants to keep you busy.
The Railway’s karaoke nights and cocktails at The Monk Cellar will start your evenings off, and nightclub Level 2 caters for all tastes until late five nights a week. You could also try the Spa Bar’s midweek student party, fancy dress nights at The Eagle and poker at The Vault.
