Sometimes reading your own work out aloud means you are more able to detect when a phrase does not sound effective.

Having the correct grammar, spelling and punctuation makes your work easier to read.

  • Use spell check (in UK English)
  • Do not rely solely on the spell checker
  • Proof read by reading your work aloud
  • Ask two other people to proof read your work
