Clubs and societies

If you want to do something different with your time at university and meet new people who share a common interest, then joining a society will be for you. Societies are a great way to make friends, discover new hobbies and enhance your CV. There really is a society for everyone – and if not, you can set one up!

The types of activities that societies typically hold include meetings, social events, awareness campaigns, fundraising and performances.

Social Sport

Social Sport offers activities that are available to all University of Derby students throughout the year. We provide an opportunity to be active in a fun and social environment, with the chance to play recreationally or competitively.

If you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned pro these sessions are for everyone to attend and the best thing is it’s completely flexible, so you can choose a different sport each week if you want to!
