Student life, University of Derby Buxton Campus Buxton is a unique University town where our students enjoy a wide and varied social scene

The town centre, train station and High Peak Halls are all within five minutes’ walk of the Buxton Campus, so everything is easily accessible. The town boasts a small but perfectly formed range of bars, pubs and clubs. Wednesday night is student night, the perfect opportunity to meet up with fellow students and enhance your social circle.

If you’re looking for a big night out, Manchester, Derby and Sheffield are all around an hour away. Buxton is on the direct train line to Manchester and the University offers a free Uni Bus to Derby every day.

The Buxton campus is a close knit community. Away from the party scene our students spend their time playing sport, learning new skills and making the most of the adrenaline packed activities that are available on their doorstep.
