Whatever course you are studying on at the Medical School in Derby, you’ll be eligible to live in Lonsdale Hall a residence housing 355 students with specific blocks exclusively reserved for Nottingham students.
Owned and managed by the University of Derby, Lonsdale Hall is situated on Lonsdale Place off Uttoxeter New Road, a short bus ride/walk from central Derby and just under one mile from the Royal Derby City Hospital.
Lonsdale Hall provides safe and secure accommodation in a quiet part of Derby with evening and night time security patrols on site. The Hall office is open from 5pm to 7pm weekdays and 5pm to 6pm at weekends.
You have your own single study bedroom in a flat sharing with six others. All the rooms are carpeted with curtains, a bed, built-in wardrobe, a large built-in desk, chair, bookshelves and a wash basin. The room comes with a tailor made communications package including Wifi in your room.
Every flat has two separate toilets and two separate shower rooms. Kitchens contain a fridge freezer, cooker and hob, sink, microwave oven, with a breakfast bar and plenty of food cupboards.
Additionally, all flats have a social space with TV and soft seating. All rooms are non-smoking.
Contract lengths are normally 42 weeks but if your course requires you to come earlier or stay longer than the contract allows, you can extend your stay by paying for the extra weeks involved.
