Buxton Award Ceremony Information
Graduation Timeline
During the week commencing 23 September 2013
The Graduation Website goes live. This will contain all information relating to the award ceremony along with instructions on how to purchase tickets (these will not be available to purchase at this point).
We will be emailing out the graduation invitations to all those eligible to graduate. From the date your receive your invitation tickets will be on sale. You will also receive a text alert to any mobile phone numbers we hold for you advising you to check your email accounts. Your invitation will be emailed to your unimail account (accessed via Udo) and any other active email accounts we hold for you and it will contain important information relating to which ceremony you have been invited to.
Please note your Udo/unimail account will remain active until after the graduation ceremonies have taken place. If your password for Udo/unimail has expired or you have forgotten it, you can still use your personal security questions to effect a password reset. Try to keep your Udo account active by regularly logging in.
The deadline for the sale of tickets will be Friday 11 October 2013
During the week commencing 21 October 2013
Tickets will be posted to the Mailing address (or the Home address if there is no Mailing address) on Udo. Please ensure that if your address details change that you update this change via Udo.
In the 2 weeks following the award ceremony
All non attending students have their certificate posted to their mailing address on Udo.
Please note that students awarded prior to June 2012 will have their certificate posted to their Mailing address on Udo throughout the year.

The Award Ceremony
The Buxton Award Ceremony will be held at The Dome, Devonshire Campus, 1 Devonshire Road, Buxton
The timetable of the day and what will happen on the day of the award ceremony will be released nearer the date.
Parking
Parking is available on Devonshire Road or any of the car parks in the town centre, the Dome is a short walk away from the town centre. There will be limited parking for Blue Badge holders on the campus. You will need to pre- book this when you order your tickets and they will be free of charge.
Church Service
There will be a church service held at St Anne's Church, Terrace Road, Buxton a short walk from the campus. This is optional to attend. However, you and your guests will need to pre-book tickets for this service as space in the church is limited. The tickets for the service will be free of charge.
Tickets
Tickets are purchased through your Student Centre via Udo.
Tickets that will be available for this event are as follows:
Student ticket - a ticket for the graduating student which is free of charge and gives them entrance into the Dome.
Guest ticket - a ticket purchased for a guest which gives them entrance into the Dome. Each graduate are usually allowed up to 2 guests. There is a charge for the guest tickets, the price will be released nearer the date.
Church service ticket - the tickets are free of charge (subject to availability). Pre-booking is essential
Lunch ticket - a ticket purchased for the graduate and guests which entitles you to a meal supplied by our catering company. Menu to be confirmed, lunch tickets cost will be relased nearer the date.
The Cap and Gown and Photography
The Cap & Gown rental and also the purchase of photography packages are ordered through an external company called Ede and Ravenscroft. You can view information on their website at www.gownhire.co.uk however these services will not be available until the invitations have been sent.
Postponement
In the unlikely event that the ceremony has to be cancelled due to severe weather conditions, we will post information on this website during the week commencing 11 November 2013 to advise of any changes. Guests and Graduands should check before confirming travel and accommodation arrangements.
