Student car parking at Buxton
Student parking at Buxton
Rooftop car park at Pavilion Gardens
Lots of space at the Pavilion Gardens
If you decide to bring your car to Buxton please be aware there is no student parking on site, except for those who hold a blue disabled badge (which will enable you to obtain a parking permit).
We recommend you park in the Pavilion Gardens car park, which is around 5 minutes walk away on Burlington Road, near to the junction with St. Johns Road. There is usually ample space during term time.
Getting a Pavilion Gardens Pass
You can purchase a special season ticket at a heavily discounted student rate of £110 per year from High Peak Borough Council, otherwise reasonable pay & display rates apply. Access to the campus is easiest if you park on the top deck, at the opposite end to the ramp.
Considerate Parking
We believe that the most considerate way to park is off street in the Pavilion Gardens.
However, if you choose to park on street, please bear in mind that there are traffic wardens in the area who will penalise those who park illegally.
By parking considerately we ask the following:
- Please do not park on junctions.
- Please do not block driveways or dropped kerbs.
- Please consider residents parking needs.
We thank you in advance for your help and consideration. How you park your car can impact people's attitude and perception of students and the University.
