Call for papers

We invite the submission of research papers and posters on the following themes:

  • Sensory events
  • Immersive events
  • Nostalgic events
  • Community events
  • Accessibility and events
  • Experiential learning in events management education
  • Open stream - In addition to papers addressing one of the main forum themes, novel research outside those thematic foci is also welcome. The open stream of the forum is designed to encourage participation for those whom the current year's theme is not within their particular area of interest, but who have a contribution to make to event management or studies theory, methodology, policy or pedagogy.

This list should be regarded as suggestions and in no way should be seen as limiting proposals. Speakers may submit more than one session if they wish.

Type of Sessions

As per previous years, the organizers would like to see a mix of session formats. For example: presentation with slides, interactive workshops and open space style discussion.

The vast majority of sessions will be no more than 45 minutes in length, please do contact us beforehand if you have any specific requirements.
