You'll work within the English and Maths team to deliver learning for our 16-19 study programmes, apprentices, and also adult learners.

You'll work closely with the PVC/Dean, Deputy Dean and other key stakeholders to develop business plans and ensure that innovative programmes and courses are demand-led and delivered to the needs of students and the market. 

You will have teaching, supervision, placement support and research responsibilities and work with colleagues teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, on campus and online programmes. 

You will be an experienced project manager, ideally with experience of managing public consultation projects in the environmental sector /nature recovery and conservation sector.

You will work closely with colleagues in the External Relations department and across the wider university to deliver a proactive PR strategy aligned to the University’s strategic objectives.  

You will be supporting the University of Derby to achieve student recruitment targets by raising the profile of the University.

You will be responsible for providing a welcoming, safe and secure environment at our Derby Campus, whilst encouraging all site users to promote a secure environment through their own conduct.  

You will support and develop practical related activities for the engineering technician apprenticeship scheme.

Working with the Student Engagement and Enhancement team (SE&E), you will reflect on your own experiences, student insight gathered from student voice mechanisms and sector research to provide an evidence base to support SE&E.

Your experience of developing your own skills for study and/or employability will be vital as you work to curate, design and develop resources aimed at both students and academic staff.
