International office tops ISB ranking

The University of Derby International Office tops recent ISB figures to be ranked Number 1 in the UK.

The University of Derby International Student Centre has been ranked Number 1 for student support in the 2015 International Student Barometer (ISB)

The ISB tracks and compares the decision-making, expectations, perceptions and intentions of international students from application to graduation. With feedback from over 164,0000 students in 57 countries across all student types, levels and years of study, the ISB is the leading benchmarking tool used to track the international student experience.

Nick Slade, Director of International Development said: "We're delighted that the work the International Student Centre does to fully support our international students whilst they're at Derby has been recognised in this way. It's fantastic to think that according to the ISB our students are the best supported in the world!"

Suzanne Wigley, from the Student Experience Team, added: "We use the results to understand the very specific needs of our international students, and to make sure that all students at Derby get the most out of their time here.

"It's an extremely useful tool that provides us with valuable feedback and insight that can be then acted upon to make improvements and enhance the student experience."
