Over 50 University of Derby students graduated at our UK partner Loughborough College graduation ceremony

Over 50 University of Derby students who studied for their Higher Education degree at our UK partner Loughborough College were amongst 200 students who finally got to wear a graduation gown during their graduation Ceremony at the Loughborough Town Hall on September 6th and 7th 2015.

University of Derby Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rod Dubrow-Marshall conferred the Derby awards at a ceremony that was marked  by an extraordinary high calibre of graduating students, including an Olympic torch bearer, a former Rugby Union international and a student who has landed her dream job in a world famous hotel.

The Derby students picked up a variety of awards including:

  • FdA Children's and Young People's Services
  • BA (Hons) Education Studies (Top-up)
  • BSc (Hons) Engineering (Mechanical) (Top-Up)
  • BSc (Hons) Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) (Top-Up)
  • BA (Hons) Applied Studies (Music) (Top-Up)
  • FdA Creative Music Production

Rachel Borrett, Team Leader for the Administration Support Team behind the organization of the ceremonies, agreed. “The flags were literally out, everyone was gowned up and the sun was shining. The two days really were brilliant. Now we have to start planning for next year – when we expect even larger numbers of graduates.” – Read the full article
