What’s this about?
It’s a way of keeping you up to date with the latest developments on our various campus sites:
- new buildings
- upgrades to existing buildings
Why is this needed?
If we don’t tell you what’s really happening it’s more likely that rumours will start and inaccurate information will circulate and we don’t want anyone to feel that they don’t know what the plans are.
We’re keen to let students and staff know:
- where they’ll be
- what kind of facilities they’ll have
And we’re keen to make sure that potential students are clear about where they’ll be studying when they start. So wherever you see the heading ‘Building a Better University’ you’ll know that that information is definitive and has been approved by senior people.
Just the Facts….
Building a Better University is a big project and a complicated one with lots of options and changing requirements. This means that sometimes plans change. Rather than tell you something one week and then have to change it later, we want to tell you what’s definitely happening. And if there are options we’re looking at in certain areas that mean we can’t tell you yet what’s definitely happening there, we’ll let you know that as well.
All we ask is that you believe us when we say we’re consulting as many of you as we can and that we’re determined to give you much better facilities to study and work in so that we can give you a better student experience.
So keep a look out for information on posters, in Connected and Dusted, and keep checking these web pages for updates.
