Business incubation

Three business incubators are managed by the BDU:

The incubators offer support to staff and students interested in starting up a new business. This support includes subsidised workspace, access to a programme of business support and use of resources.

Incubator staff are available to provide talks to students on self-employment opportunities available to them after they graduate. In addition, tours of the incubators are available to staff and students alike.

The incubators are able to bridge the gap between students and small businesses, and contacts can be developed to explore placements or student project opportunities.

Finally, the conference room at the iD Centre is available for hire. This offers seating for 18 people and the use of video conferencing facilities.
