Arriving for your course - January 2013
Monday 14 January 2013
Even if you have already enrolled online, you still need to attend your induction session as you'll also need to confirm your enrolment.
Make sure you confirm your enrolment to get your loans and bursaries released, and to receive your student ID card.
When should I arrive?
Your course begins with an induction session. This is really important. It's where you'll find out everything you need to know about what you'll be doing during the year and what support services are here at university to help you.
All new January start students for Business, Computing, Mathematics, Law and Criminology will be expected to attend the induction session on Monday 14 January 2013 at 11am.

Further information regarding international students and induction will be available shortly. Please visit this page again over the next few days for more details.
What if I can't make induction?
Induction is a vital part of your introduction to university and your programme so we would urge you to attend. However, if you really can't, please make sure you attend the enrolment process for your course.
Enrolment
Enrolment will take place on Monday 14 January 2013 from 2pm to 7pm. We urge you to attend during this designated time period to help the enrolment process run as smoothly as possible. However, if you cannot make this session, we will be running an extra session. Please contact us for more information about this session.
Pay your fees for the year
If you would like to pay the whole fee amount for the year in January, then please contact Ray Lock in Student Records and Fees, stating your name, student number and request to settle your fees prior to enrolment.
Sponsored students
If your employer is paying all or part of your fees, you will need to bring with you to enrolment, a letter from your employer on company letterhead to confirm this.
This letter will cover you for fees for the academic year 2012-13.
You will need to provide a new letter in September 2013 to cover you for the 2013/14 academic year.
Help during enrolment
If you have any queries, before, during or after enrolment, please come along to our faculty reception in the East Tower at Kedleston Road, opposite the lifts on the 5th floor.
