Why I chose Derby
I liked the education system in the UK and have always wanted to be trained in England. I came to see Derby at an Open Day and I loved the environment and atmosphere. I met the lecturers who were really friendly and helpful.
Why studying at Derby was the best choice for my career
I want to progress my career in Law, therefore it was really important for me to be trained well and the University of Derby has the perfect course for me to be able to achieve me goal. For example; at Derby there are a lot of practical modules which help students to improve their skills in areas such as interviewing, advocacy, attending to the courts and negotiation.
A friendly city
Derby is a friendly city. It is in a convenient location close to two major airports and not far from some other big cities such as Nottingham, Sheffield, and Birmingham. They also have a good bus service for travelling around the city.
A University that has everything
Derby has provided me with everything I wanted including good library services, and a great international office where the staff are really helpful and supportive. In my spare time I really like to go to the gym on campus; it is brand new with new facilities.
Combining work and study
Derby has its own Student Employment Agency on campus which you can go and register at and receive job opportunities. There are also a lot of classes for students who are not familiar with the employment system in the UK and where you can get help with your CV and interviewing.
