Our international students here in the Faculty come from all over the world - over 120 countries in fact. From India, China and Nigeria to Greece, Canada and Spain to name but a few.
Academic and support staff also have diverse backgrounds and will all help you settle in to your new life here in Derby.

You will learn in one of our three research focused schools and be taught by senior lecturers and professors who are experts in their area:
Faculty support
We have a dedicated support team within our Faculty who can answer any questions you may have about studying at Derby and will help you to settle in and adjust to life as an international student when you arrive.
We also have a great International Student Centre who will pick you up from the airport and take you to your accommodation, so you'll be supported from the time you enquire to when you join our international community here.
Our International Student Community
Here at Derby we have a thriving international student community made up of students from all over the world, you'll will meet new friends as soon as you arrive at our International Welcome Week and international student events.
Our Faculty also hosts a variety of events for international students throughout the year such as Multi Cultural Events, Conversation groups and International Festivals.
We also have a number of events and parties organised by students themselves and each year our international student community and university staff come together to celebrate international festivals such as Chinese New year, Diwali, Eid and Christmas.
International Societies
We have a number of international socieities at Derby such as the Nigerian Society, Chinese Society, Indian Society, Saudi Society and many more.
Our international societies meet regulary and often organise events and trips for students. We also have a variety of other student societies all of which are run for students by students, you can even start your very own society!
