Arriving for your course - September 2011

We're looking forward to seeing our new and returning students in September!

Don't miss out on Induction in September

students

Make sure you Confirm your Enrolment to get your loans and bursaries released, and to receive your student ID card.

When should I arrive?

Your course starts with an induction session. This is really important, it's where you'll find out everything you need to know for the coming year. You'll also meet your lecturers and get to know your fellow students.

As part of the induction session you'll also enrol for the year.

If you live outside the UK

Let us know when you are arriving - tell us on this form
We can collect you from the airport on 11 and 12 September. Book your place.

How long is the induction?

For full time courses the induction generally lasts from the start time specified for your course, to the end of the week (Friday 23 September).

Important

Even if you have already enrolled online, you still need to attend your induction session as you'll also need to confirm your enrolment.

Enrolling

There are two stages to enrolling:

  1. Enrolment - you do this online or when you arrive as part of your induction.

If you've enrolled online and have any queries over your module choices, you'll be able to speak to an academic from your programme during your induction.

  2. Confirmation of Enrolment - this takes place during induction and you MUST attend whether you enrol on-campus or online.

The Confirmation of Enrolment process activates your enrolment so that you become an official student. You'll then be able to collect your ID card and access University facilities and services.

If you have arranged a student loan you will start to receive your loan payments once you have been through the Confirmation of Enrolment process. It also releases any bursary payments you may be eligible to.

If you are a part time student you will confirm your enrolment at the part time enrolment event.

Help during enrolment

Our faculty stand will be in the Atrium between 9am and 3pm during full time Induction Week. If you have any queries regarding your induction or about the University, just pop along and see us and we'll point you in the right direction.
