Here at Derby you'll be challenged to develop your own fine art practice, working with like minded students in our vibrant studios. Our inspirational staff will encourage you to work across a wide range of areas including video, sculpture, film, painting, multimedia, drawing and mixed media, so you can fully express your individuality.
Our Markeaton Street facility has large open studios which are flooded with natural light, so it's an inspiring environment to work in. With the BA (Hons) Fine Art course you'll have your own workspace and the opportunity to showcase your work at our Degree Show.
You could also join the thriving community of artists, designers and makers who have businesses at the University's Banks Mill Studios. As well as providing workspace, we provide business support activity including one-to-one advice, workshops, seminars and bi-annual Open Studios.
