Application deadlines

If you're applying through UCAS to start a full time undergraduate degree in September the deadline  for applications is 15 January. You can apply after these dates, but your application will be considered late and will only be considered if there are places available.

If you're applying directly to the University, ie if you're applying after the UCAS deadline or for a part time or postgraduate course, we recommend that you apply six weeks before the course start date. This will allow us to process your application properly, so that you're ready for your course induction, enrolment and to start studying. Applying less than six weeks before the course starts may delay when you can join your course.

Here are the stages that your application goes through

1. Apply, either through UCAS or directly to us depending on the type of course you're taking and the time of year
2. We'll make a decision about your application
3. You accept our offer
4. You finish taking your qualifications, like A levels, BTECs or NVQs and get your results (or you may already have done so)
5. You send us confirmation of your qualifications
6. We confirm your place
7. We send you joining instructions 
8. You enrol on the course and start studying

Once you've applied, we'll keep in touch, with invitations to visit us at an open day, more information about your course and emails or letters direct from your faculty.

Our preferred way of keeping in touch with you is by email, so please make sure that you give us a valid email address, and let us know if it changes, and remember to check your emails (and spam folder!) regularly.

Once you've been accepted, we'll tell you what you need to do next

Once your qualifications have been confirmed and you've been accepted onto your course, we'll send you joining instructions which will tell you how and when to enrol, and refer you to further information that you will find useful and of interest.
