Why choose this course?
- You have the option of studying this course at three different levels depending on the qualifications and experience you have; PG Cert, PG Diploma and the full Masters qualification.
- The PG Cert stage is an intensive 12-week course taught across the summer. It combines academic and practical teaching and will prepare you for a career in the fast paced petroleum industry. And because it's a short course you'll be ready to apply for work in the autumn.
- You can study the PG Dip stage online, which means you're able to combine studying and working in the petroleum industry. So the theory you'll learn can be applied every day in your job.
- The Masters level qualification will take you to a specialist level of knowledge of the petroleum industry. You can choose to study it either full time at Derby or part time whilst you work. So it's flexible to suit you.
- Our tutors bring high academic quality as well as real world experience.
- You'll receive advice from careers guidance experts on CV preparation and interview techniques. We'll also perform a mock interview which will help you apply for jobs and kick start your career in the petroleum industry.
Our external tutors are active members of the oil industry giving a real insight and providing strong links to help you in your career.
