Nazia Mehrban, Forensic Science graduate, progression to MSc and now doing her PHd

Nazia Mehrban graduated in 2008 with a BSc (Hons) Forensic Science with Criminology

Nazia is currently undertaking post-doctoral research at the University of Bristol in the School of Chemistry under Professor Woolfson. Her focus is on Tissue Engineering.

Nazia explains what her role entails:

  • Learn techniques almost daily
  • Meetings with people all over the world
  • Travel and collaborate
  • Research in the lab
  • Publish my research findings

Nazia will soon be a qualified doctor and a respected expert in her research area.

Nazia is currently working on a project which aims to engineer new tissue in a lab for hospital use in treating injuries.

  • She advised the students to start looking at PhDs early.
