Establishing your name in the forensic community is essential in securing your dream job.

Lauren Miller, graduated in 2004 with BSc (Hons) Forensic Science

Lauren was one of the first students to graduate from this course; she is now a Forensic Mortuary Technician and has her own consultant forensic anthropologist business, where she identifies bones for the police. Lauren assists the Forensic Pathologist in establishing causes of death.

Lauren worked part time whilst she was studying and volunteered to work in a mortuary for a six month period to gain work experience.

Lauren stressed the importance of networking to the students and she attends various conferences and presentations

Lauren said: "Establishing your name in the forensic community is essential in securing your dream job."

Lauren has published various journals in her field, including Impact Decomposure.
