Funding won for SMART-PODs
Successful application
After a successful application for external funding, Dr. Boris Ceranic has been awarded funding through i-Net (Collaborative Research and Development-Sustainable Construction i-Net).
The project team are proposing the design and specification of a completely autonomous classroom pod system, the SMART-POD. Other members of the team include: Peter Ford and Philippa Davies from De Montfort University, Colin Bridges and Joe Grey from EKV Design Ltd and John Beardmore from T4 Sustainability Ltd.
Dr. Boris Ceranic, Principal Researcher in the Built Environment Research Group, has been involved in a very successful collaborative i-Net project during the last 6 months, named RETRO-Tek. The project explored retrofitting in abandoned private housing.
Dr. Ceranic will present his latest developments on research during the ADT Research Conference on Friday 20 May 2011.
