Welcome to the Identity, Conflict and Representation Research Centre (ICR) website. We are a dynamic research community made up of research active people, scholars and creative practitioners who are committed to developing good quality research within the University of Derby. Having achieved what has been described as 'an outstanding' RAE result in the 2008 RAE, as well as having hosted our first international, interdisciplinary symposium, we believe that ICR has achieved much to further enhance the research reputation of the University of Derby. The ethos of the ICR Research Centre has been firmly grounded in its commitment to the symbiotic and seamless inter-relationship of research, scholarship, teaching and learning and in reading these web pages you will be able to learn more about the range of our activities.
