A one-day interdisciplinary conference to examine the varied impact of Enlightenment and Post-Enlightenment scientific cultures in the English East Midland Counties. Bringing together academics, heritage professionals and local historians, the conference with explore manifestations of Enlightenment science in urban society, technology, the arts, education, the countryside and other aspects of regional culture.
