What did you get out of doing the DPP?

I have been offered a position with All Saints as an Assisstant Designer of Menswear.  I made lots of valuable contacts including Stephen Jones the milliner for House of Dior and Christian Lacroix.  I feel more confident in myself since my placement year and it has given me a sense of direction for where I want to go as a designer.  It also helps identify what you want to be and what you what to do and what area you wish to work in.  It gives you an edge over other students who don't take the DPP.
