Description

An exciting and innovative day during which students look at a large scale disaster scenario from various perspectives.

Law: Students will need to identify who was at fault and what the charges would be. They will learn about areas of law such as Gross Negligence, Manslaughter and what factors are required to render a guilty verdict and convict. This session is led by one of our academics who is also a practising barrister and is able to give students a unique insight into the legal world.

Criminology/Policing: How do emergency services deal with a large scale disaster? What resources are actually available and how do these need to be managed? What considerations need to be made by first responders? These are just some of the issues that will be tackled in this session.
