Girls and Boys Year 10 Events

The Outreach Team is pleased to host our Year 10 boys and girls events this July.

Girls Get Motivated

This three-day event aims to inspire and motivate female students who may not have previously considered higher education. Sessions will be delivered to improve confidence levels, troubleshoot any concerns students may have about attending university, and to develop team-working skills.

Girls Get Motivated is predominantly targeted at black and minority ethnic girls, although if you feel that any of your female students from other backgrounds would benefit from this event we will happily offer them a place.

When: Monday 18 July – Wednesday 20 July (non-residential)

Where: Kedleston Road, Derby

Maximum number of students per school: 7

For more information please contact Sarah Weir, Outreach Officer, at s.weir@derby.ac.uk or 01332 593708

Boys Into HE

Across both days, participants will work as part of a team and compete in a variety of challenges in an attempt to become the overall ‘Boys into HE champions’.
