Take a look at our latest National Student Survey (NSS) results

They show that students continue to be happy with what we're doing for them.

We increased our overall satisfaction score to 83%.

We've improved in all areas. 'The teaching on my course' remains Derby's strongest area in the survey. We've also shown strong improvements in our scores for 'Assessment and feedback', 'Academic support', ‘Organisation and management’ and ‘Learning resources’.

This means that our students are really happy with our courses and tutors, as well as the support they're getting from staff.

Many of our courses came in the top 10 nationally

  • BA History (100% overall satisfaction)
  • BA Applied Social Work (100% overall satisfaction)
  • FdA Children’s and Young People’s Services (98% overall satisfaction)
  • BSc Sport and Exercise Science (96% overall satisfaction)
  • LLB (94% overall satisfaction)
  • BA Accounting and Finance (94% overall satisfaction)
  • HND Business and Management (94% overall satisfaction)
  • BSc Forensic Science (93% overall satisfaction)
  • BA Education Studies (93% overall satisfaction)

The work doesn't stop, though!

We're keen to keep improving so our Student Experience Strategy Group will be reviewing these results and working with faculties and departments to improve student satisfaction again for next year.
