Using Technology and Media
Learning Enhancement’s Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team works to provide advice and guidance in a variety of areas including:
"TEL me more"
The lunchtime ‘TEL me more’ sessions provide an opportunity for academic staff to tell others about the way they have used learning technology to support learning and teaching. The informal sessions are run on the last Wednesday of every month and are also supported by the TEL me more online community in Course Resources (Blackboard), as well as our Twitter feed @TELmemoreuod
TEL are available to run staff development events for individuals, programme teams, subject teams and wider groups. Take a look at our Staff development menu for a list of the types of sessions we can run, but we can also create bespoke sessions based on your requirements. You can find our scheduled staff development events within Learning Enhancement’s Academic Practice Programme.
Digital Derby is an institutional wide project being led by Learning Enhancement to develop digital literacy skills for both staff and students. Digital literacy defines those capabilities which fit an individual for living, learning and working in a digital society. For information about the the project please visit the project website at Digital Derby.
The TEL team have recruited a network of Student Digital Champions. These are students who are interested in promoting the use of the digital resources and digital spaces available across the University. The projects they are involved with are varied and we are always open to ideas from Staff and Academics.
