Customer service in the libraries at Buxton & Leek College is the best in the country – and that’s official!
Learning Enhancement has just picked up a national award from CoLRiC in recognition of its hard work in library inductions for Buxton & Leek College students.
CoLRiC (Council for Learning Resources in Colleges) is an independent organisation working with library and learning resources centre managers in further education, sixth form colleges and the HE in FE sector to enhance and maintain excellence in their services.
Membership is only open to Library services in FE Colleges and Sixth Form Colleges, so Learning Enhancement joined on behalf of Buxton and Leek College a couple of years ago.
CoLRiC run a national Best Practice awards, which are independently judged. Last year we received a commendation. This year, we’re pleased to announce that we have won the Customer Service category.
Our submission was based on improving the customer experience with Library inductions for our FE students; following feedback we developed the interactive approach and incorporating the use of iPads, QR Codes, team based gamification and mind-mapping software.
