Recording and editing presentations and training videos with Panopto Lecture Recording

In this session you'll learn how to record a presentation with PowerPoint, audio, and optionally video, or make screencasts of software for training videos to cross train colleagues or induct new starters. You'll also learn how to edit your videos to remove bloopers, and tidy the start and end.

Video Creation using Mobile Devices

You will learn how you may already have a powerful video creation tool in your pocket!  Recent advances in technology mean the devices we carry with us and free online editing software can create quality video content which only few years ago would have required expensive professional equipment.  You will learn tips and techniques to make the most of this technology and find out how video can be used to improve the learning experience of students.

E-Portfolio tools for Personal Development Planning

Come along to this session to find out about a range of tools that can help keep your CPD records organised and help you to reflect on what you have learnt.   This will be a hands on session where you will be able to explore a selection e portfolio solutions.  This will include external solutions, such as Google sites and Pathbrite and an internal solution, the latest version of PebblePad.

Apps and Websites for productivity

Apps and websites – often associated with places we can play games or catch up with friends, do a bit of shopping (time wasters in a lunch break, or a handy tool for our personal lives), but there are lots of useful ones available that can help making your working day more productive.

This session will look at a few free websites/apps (all currently used within the TEL team) that might be useful for sharing information and managing day to day projects across and within teams.
