Aimed at - Chairs to Assessment Boards

Duration - 90 minutes

Outcome aims - to enable the particpants to understand and sign-off Assessment Board recommendations:

  • the role of the 'Chair' of an Assessment Board
  • understand university module referral regulations
  • professional regulations
  • interim and final award regulations
  • appeals & academic offences issues

Gradebook - Academics

Aimed at - Academics

Duration - 90 minutes

Outcome aims - to enable the participants to:

  • enter and amend grades
  • hold grades, record notes
  • understand module regulations (including referral opportunities)
  • print board report
  • report and understand academic offence procedure
  • know where to report any issues found in 'Gradebook'
  • understand appeals & complaints processes

Gradebook - Admin

Aimed at - Assessment Board Secretaries and College Admin staff helping with Assessment Boards

Duration - 90 minutes

Outcome aims - to enable the participants to:

  • report and understand academic offence procedure

Introduction to Assessment Board Secretary - Best Practices

Aimed at - New Assessment Board Secretaries

Duration - 120 minutes

Outcome aims - to enable the participants to:

  • understand the aims of the Profile Assessment Board
  • understand the responsibility of an assessment board secretary
  • understand University regulations relating to students awards and progression
  • prepare the paperwork for the Profile Assessment Board 

Peoplesoft - Progression

Aimed at - Assessment Board Secretaries

Duration - 90 minutes

Outcome aim - to enable the participants to:

  • understand and input the progression decisions from the Assessment Board into Peoplesoft

Peoplesoft - Awards and HEAR

Aimed at - Assessment Board Secretaries

Duration - 90 minutes

Outcome aim - to enable participants to:

  • understand and input the award decisions from the Assessment Board into Peoplesoft
  • understand the importance of the HEAR document

Bespoke - Assessment Board Processes

Aimed at - College Academic / Staff Teams

Duration - Varies dependent on content
