Session Details

Validation of new programmes is one part of a framework of quality assurance and enhancement procedures that the University operates to ensure academic quality and standards.  The process includes a panel of internal and external academic staff who review a programme to ensure the learning experience is not only comparable to that of students studying similar programmes at the University but also at other UK institutions.

The Validation of a programme is at the heart of everything we do at the University and this session sets out to: improve knowledge and understanding of the validation and approval process; clarify the roles and responsibilities of the Officer; consider the administrative work undertaken before, during and after the event.
