I have been working at Derby as a Learning Technology Developer since 2015. Prior to that I was working as a Moodle consultant and trainer helping schools, universities and businesses implement e-learning. I also worked in Japan for nine years as an English as a Foreign Language teacher at several schools and universities. In 2009 I completed a Masters degree in TESOL which vastly increased my understanding of pedagogy and teaching practice. I subsequently became interested in how to integrate technology into the teaching and learning mix which motivated me to pursue further postgraduate study about online and technology enhanced learning from the Open University, and more recently Edinburgh University’s Masters in Digital Education.

My current research interests are what role networked multimedia technology has in organisational change, knowledge generation and management.
