I lead the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team at the University of Derby, with responsibility to embed technology-enhanced learning into the curriculum to enhance the student learning experience. TEL lead the adoption, development, application and evaluation of technology-enhanced learning initiatives across the institution to enable enhancement of learning, teaching and assessment practice. A key responsibility of the TEL team is to support and enable academic colleagues to build their expertise in the adoption and application of digital tools and technologies to embed them in curricula where appropriate and desirable.

I have worked in the Higher Education sector since 2001, with a focus on enhancing learning and teaching via the adoption of learning technologies. I joined the University of Derby in January 2016 from a previous role at the University of Gloucestershire managing the University’s Learning Technology Support team.

I represent the University of Derby on the Heads of e-Learning Forum (HeLF), I am a Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
