The group run a food and clothing bank and offer volunteering and training opportunities, particularly focused on unemployed women, refugees and asylum seekers.

How did the Community Fund help?

The Community Fund provided £350 to help the group meet the costs of running the food and clothing bank.

Ali Neghipooran, Secretary of the Food & Education Enterprise, said: "We are grateful for the support we received from the University's Community Fund that helps us to pay for some of the costs of running our weekly food bank services. Also, this funding helps us to provide clothing bank services to diverse communities in Derby to access clothing for free. Many disadvantaged people including refugees, unemployed, and homeless individuals and their families benefit from our community projects and this support by the University."
