The University of Derby Buxton was formed after High Peak College and the University of Derby merged in 1996.

We offer both further education and higher education at our campus in Buxton. So you can move through courses within the University, from NVQs and BTECs, to Foundation Degrees and Higher Level qualifications.

How to Find Us

From the M6
Leave the M6 at Junction 18 (signed Congleton).
Join the A54 and stay on it for 25 miles to Buxton.

From Ashbourne
Join the A515 following signs for Buxton.
Remain on the A515 for 19 miles to Buxton.

From Manchester
Join the A6 following signs for Stockport and Buxton.
Remain on the A6 for 25 miles to Buxton.

From Matlock
Join the A6 following signs for Buxton.
Remain on the A6 for 20 miles to Buxton.

Public Transport

Buxton is on a direct train line from Manchester and the train station is five minutes walk from the Devonshire Campus, though taxis are available.

Manchester International Airport is less than an hour's drive away.

Buxton is also served by the Unibus which offers an extensive network of free daily buses to the Devonshire Campus, Buxton (although in order to offer you this service there will be an administration charge for the year).
