The Undergraduate to Masters programme
This programme is an ideal opportunity for international students to gain a BA and MA, and UK professional experience in two and a half years.
During the programme they develop the necessary leadership and management skills to be future global leaders.

At the University of Derby Buxton we're offering a new and exciting option specifically designed for international students.
This option provides you with the opportunity to complete a bachelors degree, spend a period of eight to 12 months in paid work placement and then progress to complete your studies with a masters degree to improve your future job prospects.
If you start a course in any of the pathways listed below in September 2013, your programme of study will be:
- BA (Hons) Top up from September 2013 to May 2014
- Paid work placement from June 2014 to December 2014
- MA from January 2015 to December 2015.
If you join the BA (Top Up) in January 2014 this will complete in December 2014 and you will be able to go onto work placement in January 2015, completing in December 2015, and join the MA programme in January 2016 completing in December 2016.
This course is a full time programme delivered at the University of Derby's Buxton Campus, in Derbyshire, which was opened in February 2006 by HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
The programme offers you the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in relation to key areas of management in either hospitality, tourism, events or spa industries.
There are five pathways to choose from:

- Professional Culinary Arts
- Tourism Management
- Events Management

Entry Requirements
You will require an appropriate Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification to two years study at undergraduate level.
You must have successfully completed your BA (Hons) award to progress to the MA stage.
You will also need at least one of the following:
- IELTS: 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all areas)
- TOEFL: 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based), 80 (internet based)
- Pearson Test of Academic English: 51
- Cambridge Advanced Certificate: Pass
- London Tests of English: we accept level 4 for undergraduate courses
- International GCE O Level English Language: Grade C
International GCSE English or English as a Second Language: Grade C.
The fees for this programme are:
- The fees for this Undergraduate programme (including work placement) are £8250, and you will receive a discount when you join the MA programme.
- If you pay your fees in full by the time of your enrolment you will receive a £500 discount.
- The fees are inclusive of tuition, assessments, teaching material (not text books) and work placement support.
